PROFILE FROM SOUNDCLICK: We can't really classify the genre or type of music that we belong. All we know is that we are trying to make good music with good lyrical content. The band's name before was "The Blankets" then "Blankets" and now "earthfishfish" (jep's email add)it is still under construction its hard to give a good name for ones self. Started with jep and mark, trying to come up with a different sound. dante came and tried to contain the ideas running wild from the two (jep and mark). maan came, and made the ideas violently gushing out of the band. Roman came and left, he's the former drummer. Karlo came (former drummer) and played for us well...we now play what we think collectively, what good music is. |

PROFILE FROM MULTIPLY: Today, the word "acoustic" has really been overused and abused -- and we admit that we were ACCIDENTALLY part of the whole fad. We are, above all, quite fascinated with the sound of our guitars at its simplest form -- plain and clean. Just that... really. We play songs that we feel have created an impact on us though deep or shallow... doesn't matter, as long as its not really pretentious. And because of this, we get all sorts of reactions -- either they're bored or really interested. Whatever the response, each and every gig will be a different story to tell. We are what we play. Currently, we have two compilation albums under our belt, which we would like to call the "NENE" RECORDINGS (bata pa kami sa musika nun eh. haha!): The first Nescafe Dewired Album under Vicor Music, and the Acoustic Break compilation CD under Alpha Music. Both are, or have been out in the market for some time now. Aside from working our brains and butts off for our day jobs, we are also busy trying to work on some originals. :) |

It was like "I have a bicycle and I want to show you how I made it fly" feeling when this band was starting. They had the urge to make songs, play them to the public and see the latter's faces enlightened and satisfied. These drive the band. They have a message that sings its way to your ears. All members are from the University of the Philippines Diliman, two of which from Fine Arts, the drummer from Social Work and Development and the vocalist from Philosophy. The music sounds Pop but inch by inch it changes to this sleepy, nostalgic, "bring me to my lolo's era" feeling that gives it a little 70's twist. |
