CVAP: A Broad Spectrum of Opportunities

In the December 19, 2020 episode of the Voice of the Youth Network Live “Bilib Kami Sa’yo'' segment, Rose Jasmine “Jazzy Voice'' Cacho. Hosted by Papa Lem, The Golden Voice, and Delikate Voice, they talked about Rose’s “The Jazzy Rose'' experiences after graduating from the Creative Voice Artist Program (CVAP) Batch 4. As she described this as “truly life-changing”.

From the start, she shared with us the meaning behind her alias “Jazzy Voice”. According to her, she wanted to relate her screen name with the music genre jazz, which is often described as versatile and free-flowing– much like voices.

Rose also told us about some of her memorable moments during her time in CVAP; on her first day on the program, she couldn't talk and interact with her other voice mates, claiming that she was too shy to do their first assignment was assigned to them, she fully realized what Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” de Leon Gonzales meant when he told her that in CVAP, “We share the culture of sharing and giving.”

Aside from wanting to improve her skills and talent in voice acting, she also looks forward to the feedback of her batchmates. She said it was her motivation and reassurance to herself that she is improving and doing a good job.

That was probably the one thing that Pocholo assured the members of the CVAP, that there’s a family and support group who shared the same passion and drive like Rose. “Habang ini-improve po yung boses po natin, nagkakaroon din po tayo ng mga tao na nandyan para sa atin na sumusuporta sa atin sa journey na to. Kaya mas nakakainspire na gawin,” she said.

Pape Lem asked her why she chose the path of voice acting. In her younger years, she already knows what she wants to do, which is to pursue hosting and voice dubbing. “Parang bata palang po ako gusto ko na rin yung nag re-radio broadcasting, tv broadcasting. Sumasali na po ako nun [in competitions].

After she met the VoiceMaster and became a scholar, Rose realized that she was destined to be in this kind of industry. “Parang na rekindle yung love ko”. Springs back when Rose was the scholar of CVAP, she and the VoiceMaster worked on a certain project. Eventually, The VoiceMaster took a risk to invite her after knowing that she was a communication graduate.

Rose said that Voice Master helped her in her toughest time when her work was unstable. She was overwhelmed by what Pocholo said to her “Join ka dito sa amin, hindi ka namin pababayaan.” Then Papa Lem relates to her story and gives a remark that the VoiceMaster has a “radar” tool to a passionate one.

Aside from the techniques, uses of technicalities, and setting up of a home studio, there is one thing that Rose learned after graduating from CVAP. She learned how to reach her dreams and to get what she really wants and rediscover what she is really passionate about. Rose said that everything has its own time and while waiting for those glorious moments you work on that to achieve that goal.

“You have to patiently wait and work hard for it”, she said.
